We need a soundman for some upcoming festivals and then later this year for an entire tour. We thought we would put word out here first and see what comes back. If you are qualified please email Rich you credentials and contact info. Do not bother emailing if you will not drive in a van, lift gear, sleep on couches, etc.
thanks
Album artwork, please. Thanks.

so i just ‘ applied’ . i was wonderin why they didnt have a roadie the times ive seen them .. it doesnt look like any fun putting up with the house roadies.. most of em seem cranky. lol..
luis//05.02.2009
Ha, very true. Well.. mostly true. I imagine it is pretty hard for anyone to deal with on a daily basis. We really don’t have much of a problem setting up and carrying our own gear. Soundperson is pretty necessary at this point.. I mean, Ryan does use 6 keyboards. Pretty obnoxious for a house soundperson to deal with.
John Baldwin Gourley//05.02.2009
I will gladly drop out of college and pursue my dream of being PTM’s sound guy.
I just don’t know the first thing about the actual job. I can sleep on couches like it’s nobodies business though
JByrne//05.02.2009
Just out of curiosity, how does having your own sound person work? Do they use their own console and stuff, or do they use the house PA/console and just kinda step in when you guys sound check and play?
Adam//05.02.2009
ha .. all those keyboards and dont forget that congo drum you have to mike up. besides that you guys have a pretty chill setup. as for lights, i dont know if you guys carry any, but the lighting at the troubadour was just amazing. those side rainbow streams tripped me out.
luis//05.02.2009
Those lights are all done by our tour manager Ian Shaw. He is the man.
John Baldwin Gourley//05.02.2009
dibs
derek garren bolton//05.03.2009
I always thought the lights person was a girl
Adam//05.04.2009
I should probably get a hair cut.

You and I both.

I’m Daniel Reed, and I’ve worked with Portugal. The Man several times at the Clubhouse in Tempe, AZ. I have 2 years experience as a FOH engineer and stage manager. I love P. The Man and would be honored to do it.
Daniel Reed//05.05.2009
Just sent the email~
It’s really cool you guys put the opportunity out there on your blog first, good looking out!
Marty~//05.05.2009
I did monitors when you guys played at UC Santa Barbara. I have the strength of a raging bull so I can lift shit. I have no problem falling asleep anywhere. And I love vans! I am also going to school for live sound. How about that?
Nicki//05.05.2009
I’m pursuing audio engineering as my life goal, and here is a BADASS opportunity just casually coming along. In terms of experience, no I couldn’t do what you want. But I am a very fast learner and I have a great ear.
Aaron Walker//05.06.2009
I’d like to apply for this but the email link isn’t working for me, is there another place I can find it?
Thomas//05.06.2009
the email link doesnt work. whats the email address so i can send a resume?
Daniel Reed//05.06.2009
My girlfriend wont even let me consider going without her. Room in the van/on the couch for my girl?–She’d be an awesome Merch girl.
Josh//05.08.2009
Ian is already an awesome merch girl.
derek garren bolton//05.13.2009
I hope this is not to late. I just saw the wanted add today.. I emailed Rich my resume. Do any of you guys remember doing an interview with a college student at the Church in Philly? well that was me. I really hope the position has not been filled yet! It gets a little monotonous doing sound for local metal bands all the time. I would love to blend your sweet tones of love. ha
Shaun Sutkus//05.14.2009
